Tentacles!

That would be 8pm sunlight, for the record.

I bought myself three air plants (tillandsias) yesterday. Air plants don't need soil, just a good soak every now and then. Lowwww maintenance. Just like the yellow kalanchoe that my dad bought me. (Aww.)

But yeah. Tillandsias! They come in all sorts of shapes, but I like the squiggly ones the best. They kind of look like misfit green onions. I enjoy watching them. I feel like they're breathing (like actually inhaling and exhaling) when I'm not looking. Sometimes I'm tempted to glue googly eyes on to make them look more squidlike.

Oh tentacles. That's another interest I wanted to add to my facebook list, but putting tentacles down as an interest is just begging for trouble. But I just do! Octopi, squid (not only do I own a squid shirt, but I also just bought a jellyfish one...), Dale Chihuly stuff, these plants are just an extension of that.

So D, does the plant freak you out? I'm curious.
