Did I tell you I roasted (most of) a chicken? (It was already cut, not the whole bird.) Not only did I succeed without setting anything on fire, it tasted effin' awesome. I nearly passed out after I gorged on potatoes that had soaked in butter and chicken grease. I made plenty of mistakes, but I was pleased that I didn't freak out (especially since I learned how to roast chicken when I was 10).

But I did score a bag of new potatoes freshly dug from the ground yesterday, from my tea lady at Miki. Mein gott, they are GOOD! Even just boiled in lightly salted water. Yum yum.
