Did I tell you I roasted (most of) a chicken? (It was already cut, not the whole bird.) Not only did I succeed without setting anything on fire, it tasted effin' awesome. I nearly passed out after I gorged on potatoes that had soaked in butter and chicken grease. I made plenty of mistakes, but I was pleased that I didn't freak out (especially since I learned how to roast chicken when I was 10).

Hello delicious. The skin was all crackly and buttery. So great.


My poor potatoes didn't turn out as pretty.
But they tasted just like chicken grease. Mmm.



Too lazy to make a salad. The veggies are called "fiesta mix."
I find the beans hilarious. And delicious.
But seriously, crinkle-cut carrots are not my definition of a fiesta.

Omg, my mouth is salivating. Roast chicken, how I miss you!!! You are getting to be quite the cook, eh?

But I did score a bag of new potatoes freshly dug from the ground yesterday, from my tea lady at Miki. Mein gott, they are GOOD! Even just boiled in lightly salted water. Yum yum.
