I told my dad about the wedding this past weekend, and I told him how the father of the bride made up a few facts in his speech. Nothing more than a few name mess-ups, but hey, we noticed. (To his credit, I was impressed how detailed he was.)
Yenniway, I told my dad this, and he said "Don't expect something like that from me." That's cool dad, I said, the father of the groom did a very simple heartfelt toast, that's good enough. I was getting weirded out by the conversation anyway. But my dad continued. "What I'd do, I'd do a powerpoint."
A powerpoint! Probably with little animated page turns.
Oh man. Can't you just see it? Remind me, when I get married, that the reception room can't have any electrical outlets. Or walls to project onto. How mortifying.
